Drupal User Group Hannover meeting
On Tuesday I had the pleasure to meet the local Drupal User Group (DUG) from Hannover. I have been planing to go there since September but unfortunately I have an university course in informatics scheduled at the same time. However, this week I decided to get to know some new Drupalistas and (as expected) that turned out to be a brilliant decision.
Some short notes on things I learned:
- Pro Drupal Development is a much more detailed and comprehensive book on Drupal Module Development than Learning Drupal 6 Module Development. Might be worth reading!
- I have to get cygwin again, which is an UNIX like shell that can be run on Windows and offers you the opportunity to patch Drupal modules etc.. I used cygwin some time ago when learning Java from an online course by the University of Osnabrück... Yeah I know, just getting Linux would be much better, but there's just not enough time left for that!
Thanks to all you guys from DUG Hannover! I'm looking forward to seeing you again, especially at the Drupalcamp tomorrow in Cologne.
