About the author
Work
In 2011 I started working as a project manager for spot-media, a transaction and maintenance oriented agency in Hamburg.
Studies
I'm a graduate of English Culture and Business Studies ("Bachelor of Arts Kulturwirt") from the University of Duisburg-Essen. After finishing my studies in the German Ruhrgebiet (including a several-month Erasmus term at the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland) I finished another study on Computer Science in Economics ("Bachelor of Science Wirtschaftsinformatik") at the University of Hildesheim.
Freelance work and web development
During my studies I have worked for several IT projects, dealing with website, shop and community development including the use of various Content-Management Systems (CMS). I quickly found myself being highly motivated in learning as much as possible about webdevelopment and especially on ways to improve the organization of online projects.
Drupal CMS
I'm actively involved in the Drupal open source community. Drupal is an open-source PHP and MySQL-based CMS that was founded by Dries Buytaert, a student from Belgium and is often called the "Linux of the web". Just like Linux it is more stable than other systems around and offer's the (experienced) user and developer the opportunity to modify almost everything in a very structured and easy way. That is what makes Drupal my CMS of choice. So you'll likely find a lot of technical content about Drupal in this blog, too.
